I want to open a yoga studio in East London. Any tips for starting out?
Barbara H asked:
I have been teaching in different centers for a while and would really love to open my own studio and be able to provide a top service (quality instructors, great props, beautiful environment). I have a very good idea of what the business would be like, but feel a bit uncertain as far as taking the plunge (I don’t have much business experience). I would like to ask other yoga studio owners how they went about it and what worked for them. Any information is welcome!

Your idea sounds wonderful.
Below is a link to an article about a woman who started her own small yoga business in Chicago.
Definitely get a informational interviews with other yoga studio owners.
Also the beginning of the book “Jivamukti,” it talks a little about how they opened their studio in New York. However, it doesn’t give the hard facts about securing investment or anything financial. Maybe you can get the book from the library.
Good luck!
